Biography

Born Paris, France

Nationalities: Dutch and British

I have a fascination for the natural environment, built form and how we function in these surroundings, it led to a first degree in architecture closely followed by a further degree in Fine Art from the Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam. Since graduation I have been working as a drawing artist focusing on the natural landscape. My largest project at present is the Coastline project it is a 20 year plan to draw the rock edges of the North Atlantic Rim. I am documenting a coastline in constant flux and at the forefront of climatic influences and erosion.

I have had numerous artist residencies & drawing projects along the North Atlantic Rim and in many further locations beyond, enabling me to travel in Europe, North America, Australia and South Africa. Exhibitions have included solo and group shows in Portland Museum of Art, Maine; Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Co; Missouri State University, USA; Shetland Museum, Scotland UK; Tempus Arti, Belgium; Geumgang National Museum, South Korea; Saitama museum, Tokyo, Japan.
